ELITE SOCCER

Our Elite teams are intended for advanced players who desire a more competitive soccer environment.  Those who participate do so with the understanding that they are making a team commitment and are expected to always strive to give their best on and off the field.

While much focus is put on development, sportsmanship, and teamwork – our travel teams are intended for players with more advanced skill sets.  For this reason, players must attend Player Evaluations to be evaluated by our coaching staff to determine if they qualify for our Club teams.  The top players will be selected and invited to participate based on their evaluation results, former coach’s recommendations, and roster space availability.  Players who are selected and decide to accept our invitation to participate on a FCD understand and are agreeing to the following:

  1. Practices/Games:  Regular attendance at practices and games is expected at this level of play. Our travel teams require a strong commitment from the players.
  2. Playtime:  While each coach will address game playtime differently based on their own personal coaching philosophy – it is to be understood that players are not guaranteed equal playtime at this level – but all players should get some playtime provided they attend/participate regularly at practices.  It is at the discretion of each team coach to decide how much playtime each player receives.  Factors that often come into play are a player’s individual abilities, attitude, attendance, and overall participation.  Coaches also consider the level of competition of the opposing teams and factor the possible effect on the final outcome of the game.
  3. Tournaments:  Club teams may entail additional time commitments and expenses for tournaments, indoor field rentals, etc. This varies by team.  It is at the discretion of the coach to decide what/how many tournaments they will participate in.  Some Club teams do not attend any tournaments while other teams participate in 2 tournaments per session on average (2-Fall, 2-Spring) – varies by team/coach.  Most coaches will share this information with you at the beginning of the season and collect all fees upfront to cover additional costs.  Tournaments range on average from $250-600 per tournament.  Most tournaments run two days (Sat/Sun) and some may require travel and/or lodging.  By registering and accepting a spot on a travel team you are agreeing to attend any additional commitments and pay all additional fees.  It is understood that the FCD registration fee you paid initially to participate on the travel team does not cover any tournament fees for the session.  All tournament fees are extra and you are agreeing to pay them as a member of the team.

Player Evaluations/Try-outs: Any player who would like to be considered for a FCD team must attend Player Evaluations/Try-outs.  Only players wishing to be considered for selection/placement on a FCD need to attend. Try outs typically occur in March or April for the upcoming Fall and Spring seasons.

CURRENT Fall season Club/Elite players: 

If your child is currently playing for a U9 – U17 FC Dallastown club/elite team, please register them now to continue into the Spring season with their same team.    

NEW Players (not currently playing Fall soccer with FC Dallastown): 

Our club/elite teams were rostered for the Fall/Spring season from our player placement/try-out event in April 2020/2021.  However, there may be availability on these teams for this Spring season so please register your child and indicate that they are a new player.  We will do everything we can to roster your child to a team, but note that registration does not guarantee placement on a team.  We will contact you shortly after registration closed on Dec 15th to let you know your child’s status.  A supplemental tryout out event or evaluation may be required.  If we cannot place your child on a team, you will be refunded your registration fee.
